At Davren Community Solutions, we are dedicated to empowering, integrating, and inspiring the ROMA community in West Yorkshire. Leveraging over a decade of experience, we have cultivated strong connections with the ROMA community and take pride in being their primary point of contact. In March 2024, we established the inaugural ROMA Community Centre in Halifax, which is the very first ROMA Centre in West Yorkshire. Since then, we have been actively assisting over 350 ROMA families residing in Halifax. Our competent and dedicated team is equipped to provide comprehensive support across all facets of community life. Our commitment is to provide a variety of services and the necessary support to the ROMA Community throughout West Yorkshire so that they can enhance the quality of their lives. We also aim to offer support to professionals who work with ROMA individuals.

ESOL Classes
This ESOL course encompasses instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, aiming to enhance your proficiency and boost your confidence in English communication. Whether pursuing personal enrichment or seeking to enhance your job prospects, this program will provide you with the necessary skills to successfully attain your objectives.
Welfare Benefits Advice
The Drop-In sessions provide the ROMA Community with valuable updates and essential support in addressing their daily challenges, such as translating documents, completing application forms, contacting local services, directing to appropriate resources, scheduling appointments, and many more.
Food banks
Food banks serve as community entities that offer assistance to individuals facing financial challenges in accessing necessary food supplies. . Our committed staff and volunteers diligently prepare parcels containing essential traditional Slovak/Czech food items for those in greatest need. Distribution of food supplies from our food banks occurs on a weekly basis per family without the need for referrals.
Events
An event like International ROMA Day has been orchestrated with the primary aim of advocating and commemorating the opulent culture, diversity, and heritage. Additionally, gatherings such as the BBQ event have facilitated the fostering of robust connections within the community, fostering social interaction and enjoyment. Such events serve to enhance and empower the community on a deeper level.
